Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Role purpose:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Accountant to join our Company. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation of financial statements, maintain accurate financial records, and perform various accounting tasks as assigned by the Chief Accountant.
Assistant Accountant
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts.
2. Prepare and review month end reconciliations. Eg: debtor, creditors, bank accounts, intercompany account, etc.
3. Prepare and post journal entries, and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
4. Preparation of Payment vouchers and updating cashbook entries.
5. Assist in the preparation of cashflow reports.
6. Create and maintain spreadsheets and/ or database to record, monitor and compile financial information
7. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulatory requirements.
8. Assist in the preparation of financial information for audits and financial reviews.
