Job Purpose:
We are looking for a dynamic credit officer to come aboard. Your duties will include meeting with clients to set up the loan application process, gathering required financial documentation, and approving or denying loan requests based on your risk judgements. The preferred candidate should have exceptional analytical and effective communication skills and the ability to accurately interpret financial data to make life-changing decisions. Furthermore, a qualified credit officer should display exceptional business prowess, as well as strong knowledge of loan procedures and best practices according to financial laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate loan applications and assess credit risk, including reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information.
• Analyze loan portfolios and monitor performance, including identifying and mitigating risks.
• Approving or denying loan requests, and communicating your decision to both clients and management.
• Ensure compliance with lending policies and regulations, including underwriting guidelines, anti-money laundering regulations, and fair lending practices.
• Manage loan disbursements and collections, monitor repayment schedules, and follow up on delinquent accounts.
